Terms and Conditions

1. General

  • These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all skip bin hire and related services provided by Frankie Waste (“we”, “our”, “us”) to you, the customer (“you”).
  • By booking a skip bin or skip bag with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Hire Period & Charges

  • Standard hire includes 5 days / 4 nights.
  • Additional days are charged at $30 per day unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • All hire fees must be paid in advance at the time of booking.

3. Bin Usage & Prohibited Items

  1. Bins may only be used for the waste type selected at the time of booking (General Waste, Builders Waste, or Green Waste).
    • General Waste – for household and light commercial rubbish such as furniture, appliances, clothes, plastics, cardboard, packaging. No bricks, soil, concrete, or builder’s rubble.
    • Builders Waste – for heavy construction materials such as bricks, concrete, soil, tiles, and rubble. 
    • Green Waste – for garden organics such as grass, branches, leaves, and tree clippings.
  2. The following items are strictly prohibited and must not be placed in Frankie Waste bins under any circumstances:
    • Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials
    • Liquids of any kind (paints, oils, fuels, solvents, chemicals)
    • Explosives, flammable or dangerous goods
    • Clinical, medical, or biological waste
    • Sharps, syringes, needles
    • Human or animal remains
  3. The following items are not permitted unless pre-arranged with Frankie Waste at the time of booking. Additional disposal fees apply per item:
    • Mattresses
      • Single / King Single / Base – $50
      • Double / Queen – $70
      • King – $90
    • Gas Bottles / Fire Extinguishers
      • Less than 9kg – $30
      • 9–20kg – $100
      • Greater than 20kg – $135
    • Car Tyres
      • Off Rim – $50
      • On Rim – $60
      • Light Truck / 4WD Tyre – $100
    • Batteries
      • Car – $30
      • Large / Truck – $45
  4. Customers are liable for all costs, penalties, or damages arising from disposal of prohibited or unapproved items in a Frankie Waste skip.

4. Weight Allowances & Overloading

  1. Each skip includes a set weight allowance:
    • General Waste 4m³ – 500kg
    • Builders Waste 4m³ – 1,000kg
    • Green Waste 4m³ – 500kg
    • Skip Bag 1m³ – includes 200kg (no lock provided)
    • Skip Bag 3.3m³ – includes 300kg (no lock provided)
  2. Additional weight will be charged at $45 per 100kg.
  3. Bins and skip bags must not be loaded above the rim. Overloaded bins may be refused for collection or incur extra charges.

5. Access & Delivery

  • You are responsible for providing clear and safe access for delivery and collection of bins.
  • Frankie Waste accepts no responsibility for damage to driveways, paths, lawns, or underground services caused by delivery or placement of bins.
  • Any council permits required are your responsibility unless otherwise arranged.

5A. Skip Bag Conditions

  • Skip Bags are provided as a flexible waste solution for customers to fill in their own time.
  • Collection of Skip Bags must be requested within 6 months of delivery. After this time, collection may incur additional charges in line with the current hire fee for the same size bag at the time of collection.
  • A minimum 3 metres of clear access must be available at the property to allow our hoist to safely load and remove the Skip Bag.
  • If access is not available, or collection is delayed beyond 6 months, Frankie Waste reserves the right to charge additional fees.

6. Security & Locks

  • Each skip bin is provided with a lock and code for security.
  • Skip Bags do not include locks.
  • If a skip bin lock is lost, damaged, or a code is changed without notice, a $25 replacement fee applies.

7. Payments & Additional Charges

  1. By booking, you authorise Frankie Waste to automatically debit your credit card for:
    • Overweight charges
    • Additional hire days
    • Prohibited or restricted items placed in bins
    • Special item disposal fees (as per Clause 3.3)
    • Damage, lost lock/code, or other breach of these Terms
  2. All charges are final and payable once waste has been weighed and processed.

8. Cancellation & Refunds

  • Bookings cancelled with more than 48 hours’ notice are refundable, less a $50 admin fee.
  • Cancellations within 48 hours of delivery are non-refundable.

9. Liability & Indemnity

  • Frankie Waste is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of the bin, except to the extent required by law.
  • You agree to indemnify Frankie Waste against all claims, damages, or costs arising from your use of the bin, including improper or prohibited waste disposal.

11. Invoice & Payment Terms

  • All bookings made online or over the phone must be paid in full prior to delivery.
  • Customers with an approved Frankie Waste account may be invoiced on 7-day payment terms.
  • Payment may be made via credit card, debit card, or bank transfer.
  • By booking, you authorise Frankie Waste to debit your card for any additional charges in accordance with these Terms.
